Hooked with Mark Krupa. He's a nutcase but the filming is the best of any show out there, and the places are out of this world.

fav tv show

Post by starrman »

I had W.F.N early on and two shows that I thought were really informative and different were Classic Patterns and BassTech. Unfortunately, W.F.N lost the rights and they're not available. Perhaps WILD TV will pick them up. As for what's available now, I love the FLW Tour!

I would have to say Musky Hunter is my fav. Although, I do however like Shaun Rickards Outdoor Adventures (Formerly Urban Outdoor Adventures). I email back and forth with Jim Saric of Musky Hunter every once in a while and I believe his show not only provides excitement but also is very informative for the novice angler (if you are into Musky).

I spoke with Shaun (Host and Founder) this weekend at the Toronto Fish and Boat show and he told me they are now going move abroad this season. They are not going to focus on Urban areas and head down south as well as further North in Ontario.

I find WFN runs far too many reruns for days on end it seems. I enjoy the station but find they focus far to much on American fishing and due to the lack of shows in Canada we miss out.

Fish on!

Post by Lief »

Anyone else catch that fishing show a few years back Fish On.
It was by far the best ever. The hosts were three babes that were doing saltwater in their bikini's  Loved to see them work those big fish on deep sea rods.
I'm suprised it didnt last longer than it did....Guess it might have had some bad feedback from the wives and girlfriends

I find fishful thinking to be the most informative of all the fishing shows. He fishes water that I recognize and takes the time to show you everything from tackle to technique.
Don't even watch Izumi anymore. His shows have turned into a big infomercial for lodges and tackle with a bunch of giggling thrown in.

I'll watch any fishing show out there... But I can't stand Daryl Cronzy... All that fat guy does is talk about shore lunch. how great the shore lunch was... how they are just leaving or going to shore lunch... when is the next shore lunch.

The episdoe where he eats bacon wrapped Muskie just confirms that he is a fat pig...

It would probably be a better show if the camera guy wasn't affraid of being eaten if they didn't get to shore lunch on time.

Although I voted for Fish n' Canada show ... I really do like Fishful Thinking ... I'll say they both would be tied for the top spot!

My personal favourite all time fishing show has to be "The Weekend Fisherman" hosted by Frank Papineau. It used to be on Rogers 22 I believe. I haven't seen it in a while. however nobody lands an Ottawa River Catfish quite like Frank using stink baits. That was awesome. Anyone know if this show is still on?

I don't think Frank's show is on anymore...when the show was taken off the air he showed up on again on Rogers- this time a golf show. I don't think that show lasted very long - no idea where he is now.

I always enjoy the In-fisherman episodes, too, Bear. They're usually some place where I'd really like to be, and catching something I'd really like to be catching.

Cronzy's show is my favorite.

I love his Campfire segment.

When he told the cottage owners to keep a pail of rocks on their dock to throw at tourney bass guys, i was almost on the floor laughing so hard...

You can't buy entertainment like that! :D
