Early Season Muskies

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Early Season Muskies

Post by TrollingThunder »

Since it seems June will never come I thought I'd waste some time trying to figure out some favorite baits for early season musky...I know some people are very introverted when regarding their baits...locations...techniques etc haha but it's worth a shot.

1) Bucktail - Black with double Colorados
2) Bucktail - Yellow and red with Willows
3) Spinnerbait - White
4) Bull Dawg - Pearl White/Motor Oil
5) Suick - Natural Sucker

normally we use smaller shallow cranks. try woodies in the 5-6 inch in jointed. normally a slower trolling presentation over emerging weedbeds.. first dropoffs in the warmer water. good luck.
