How's the Jock by Richmond looking?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

How's the Jock by Richmond looking?

Post by Fishhawk »

I had a sudden impulse to take the kids to Richmond for some small fish fishing. Both girls protested too much. What a shame - such a great evening.

Then Kevin my Brother in Law calls at supper looking for the same information - where could his friend go to do the same thing? I thought the Jock would be interesting for anyone who likes to walk a bank - and who doesn't?

Have I missed any discussion about it? Someone pls feed me a link?

Something’s weird with the jock. Maybe it’s still too cold? Although the water temperature is 50F. I spent a few hours on it yesterday with an underwater camera and all I saw was a Smallie. Now I hear the perch at black rapids are hitting quite well.

Thanks Xenos - I can add after Saturday afternoons outing with the kids that we found nothing except a muskrat, some frogs, a turtle and minnows - lots of minnows. Nothing was chowing down on those minnows.

Jock Mystery

I wonder if the Musky are spawning? I know if I was a walleye and I knew they were moving in for a few weeks to do their thing I would be kind of laying low and hoping that they didn`t see me.

I think they usually spawn around this time of year in that temperature of water.
