Just wondering folks--going to an auction and they have new 4hp and 5hp 4 stroke mercurys--I'm just wondering (ballpark) what would these motors cost if you were to buy one from a dealer. Thanx -- Mark
For a manual start short shaft 4hp or 4m four stroke suggested retail is $1700
For a manual start short shaft 5hp or 5m four stroke suggested retail is $1850.
Most dealers are selling them for $1500 and $1650.

What year are the engines? That will also determine what price they might be. the prices I posted are for 2008 models.
