Opener is around the corner!! What will you be throwing?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

X-rap shads in light green and purple finish for the schoals, and second rod equipped with texas rigged gulp alive 3 inch leach for the weed beds and other structure. Both proven for me

I will be diggin right in and clunkin' any peice of structure I can find with flipping jigs and tube jigs in the serch for a DREAM BASS  . There were a couple of new craw baits I wanted to give a whirl as well. Drop-shot will be outstanding right now in the Black River for smallmouth. Bitsy bugs and a new shad body bait(Top Secret  ) from one of hte companies I promote baits for will be in it's early stages of testing. And man does it ever look good....Oli can attest to the BearPaws 8)

Interesting....

Depending on the given conditions, I'm probably gonna go with some luckycraft poppers/frogs to begin the day and most likely switch to jig n' pig combo followed closely by the good ol' Yum dinger  Good luck to all on opening day!!

I'll keep throwing different baits until they tell me what they want.

I probably start with some top water bait like popper and scum frog on vegetation then I might switch to some flipping jigs, senko wacky style and the list goes on 8) . Im getting very anchious now.
