baitcasters kids fishing day

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Weather Report From the Lake

Post by baitcaster »

Good morning,

Well, the sun was shining for a bit around 7:00 this morning and there are patches of blue sky around. It is very warm. Although they are calling for showers it seems that this year if you want to fish you will have to put up with some rain. Hope this won't deter anyone from bringing the kids out for a fun day of family fishing fun!

What a great morning on the water with my six year old son. We got a little wet in the afternoon, but we had great fun fishing. It was excellent to see some familiar faces and also meet many new ones. The turnout seems to be getting larger every year and the kids all have a great time with lots of smiles and prizes.

It was great to see Honorable 'BIG' - Big Jim handing out prizes and goodies for all the young anglers. He is a true ambassador of the sport of angling.

Thanks again to all the volunteers, supporting businesses, OPP, and staff of Bait Casters for hosting an excellent day out for families. And a special thanks needs to go out to Mike and Crystal of Bait Casters.

BTW I think the Dave Mercer DVD's have turned my six year old son into a casting bass maniac.

Take a kid fishing they are the future of angling...

My first time there. Was really great time for everyone, especially the kids. I would like to thank Crystal and all people for such great event. It was great that it only started raining after we finished fishing :)

Thanks again Crystal and Mike for setting up a great event for the kids. The boys are looking forward to next year already.
Here's a pic of the big bass of the tourney. 3.66lbs LM that one of my sons caught.
Cheers,
Lloyd
