Mink Lake, Eganville?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Mink Lake, Eganville?

Post by dskrizzy »

Looks like my girlfriend Christine and I will be camping on Mink Lake, Eganville, for the coming long weekend.

Was wondering if anyone who has been there, could share some info about the lake? We have never been there before and don't know much about Mink Lake at all?!?!?

What kind of fish are in the lake? Main species? Rocky vs Weedy Lake?
How big is the lake? We fish for Smallmouth for the most part, does this lake have good numbers of smallmouth?

Thanks in advance...

Cheers,
Dennis

My family cottage was on mink lake. I fished that lake every summer for years. We caught good numbers of pike, walleye and smallmouth and largemouth. There is supossed to be white fish but we never hooked into any. Mudpout, perch, rock bass etc etc in Mink Lake.

You should have luck just off of and around the sholes in the north west end of the lake... All over really. Google maps shows that sholes pretty well... check that out.

All this said, havnt fished it since the cottage was sold 12 years ago. Miss that lake. Have fun! :D

Hey dsk, Where will you be camping on Mink Lake. I have a trailer on that lake. The fish is pretty good at the north end of the lake and also just off the point from Mac's cedar est camp ground

Sorry Dennis...can't help with any info for Mink Lake, but I would love to see a report on how you did! Might you be headed for Lake Clear in the Fall again?
