5lb Smallie or 5lb Largie ---which turns you on the most?
Just wondering.
For me I'll take a day of 5lb smallies over largies any day!

For me it used to be smallies.....
Then I found some spots that constantly produce 4-6lb smallies.
Now I'd like to catch a nickel. Been a long time since I've got a decent bucket.....
Hard decision.....but probably the smallie.....I love that fight! A slab will feel like a tractor pulling on that line!!! Not to mention the acrobatics!!!
Love it!

Got any pics of these "constant" 4-6 pounds smallies?

For me it's buckets....nothing compares to setting the hook on a 4 pound plus largie in heavy cover....
RJ,
I'll be honest here. No I do not have pics.
I'll take the teasing and the doubting but I generally don't take a camera with me when I fish.
Either cause I am fishing solo (so who takes the pic?) or I don't want my pic taken.....
I also find it hard uploading pics on here....
I can post some pics from an outing with my buddy or if you throw me your e-mail in a PM I'll gladly e-mail them to you.

I've never caught a large mouth so I'll have to go with the majority and say smallies for the fight and the jumps they do. My 13 year old son caught his first smallie last year and he was head over heels when it started jumping out of the water and flipping for him. The smile was precious...too bad I didn't take the camera.

if you live anywhere near Erie or Simcoe, and have an idea how to fish 'em, you'll definitely appreciate a 5 or especially a 6lbs largie.
i have NOT caught a five pound largie, and let me tell you, i've been trying for years.
however, i've caught a number of five pound smallies and one six pound smallie.
Its all about location.
you folks in eastern ontario are blessed with the largie fishing.....we have the worlds best smallie fishing here in southern ontario (erie and simcoe). but its amazing, ontario wide, our bass fishing is fantastic!
