Jock River fishing

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Jock River fishing

Post by deschad »

Hi, anyone fish the Jock River by kayak or canoe? Live in Nepean where would be a good place to launch a boat further up River from the Rideau.
Any info would be great.
Thanks

you can put it in near the west side of richmond.,take franktown rd. west of town,go south on Joy's rd. (golf course),head like you are going into the g'course lot,but go strait, the road ends, turns to a full width driveable, trail, trail is about 75yards long, ends at jockriver bank.,can be marshy there, but hasn't rained much lately.I was in there a few weeks back, worst case you get your feet wet.,but you can park back in there on solid ground.

There's a park on Steeple Hill Rd. that's perfect for launching a canoe or kayak. Even has a good dock.

There is a launch on Eagleson just south of Perth/Richmond road that you can launch at. You could also probably launch at the twin elm bridge as well.
