Congratulations to Steve and Jack for a commanding win on a body of water that I love......and hate at the same time.
As I understand, the conditions of the water and the weather were not the best, however to bag such quality fish is outstanding.
Great job guys and congratulations to everyone to made it to the Classic, putting their time in to make this series one of the best in the area.
Cheers,

Muskrat Lake didn't disappoint. Saturday's weight's were awesome. 27 out of the 40 boats came in with 15+ lbs. The weights were mostly down on Sunday which is expected but there were still a lot of good bags.
In talking with all the competitors, not only was the size good, the numbers caught on the day were also really good.
In terms of what Steve Barnett and Jack Levert accomplished and how they did it, simply amazing. 20.54 lbs on Day 1, 23.32 lbs on Day 2
and winning by 8.02 lbs is very impressive.
Steve and Jack drove home a fully rigged Ranger 198VX bass boat powered by a 200 HP Yamaha VMax Series II HPDI outboard and was equipped with 2 colour Lowrance sonar/GPS and Motorquide Tour Edition trolling motor. The package is valued at $55,000.
Congrats Steve and Jack!

Congrats..........
A grueling year for sure!
Here is a question (and pardon my ignorance!). But if you already have a bass boat, what do you do with the one you won? Sell it? Keep it?
As you win it as a team (I am guessing) who legally owns the boat?
Does this have the potential to get as ugly as the Mcartney/Mills divorce over ownership and profit sharing?

Fishing a 2-day tournament with the top anglers and doing well isn't an easy task. The Gaffney brothers are excellent anglers and had a great year but unfortunately experience is what won this tournament. The brothers will no doubt be back next and this experience will help them become better tournament anglers.taylor wrote:What happened to the brothers that were in second place after day 1?? Big time choke, or lucky day 1?
That's the beauty of a 2 day tourny, lucky days don't win it.
