Caution At Crotch Lake

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

So sorry to here of your bad experience. I was shocked to read this. On reflection, I'm not sure why. I guess because I, and most decent people, would never even think to do something like that.

I hope you can get your tank repaired.

I also hope that the responsible person (moron) gets nailed in the act.

Thanks for posting the info -- it's good to be aware of the risks at launches and marinas.

If I caught them I'd put my hand down their throat and rip the elastic out of their underpants!!!

I'd also kick em so hard in the junk they'd have permanent earings!!!

This really burns my @ss !!!

I've been thinking about this over the last few months, wondering with the gas prices so high when someone would try to start siphoning peoples tanks while their vehicles were sitting at a boat launch and now it is happening.

I haven't fished Crotch for quite a few years now but I do fish allot of the smaller lakes in that area so I wonder how widespread this is.

Is it happening on other lakes in the area or just that one ? If it's just Crotch then it probably means it's some local that lives on the road and watches as vehicles come in. I'm also wondering how organized they are. Do they have somebody with a walkie talkie watching the road for any other vehicles coming in while some other jerk is ripping you off ?

Sounds like we need a joint hunting and fishing expedition to catch these little b@stards and teach them a lesson. A long swim back from a distant island with a couple of black eyes might get the message across to these idiots.

I'll be up that way hunting this season so I hope for their sake I don't run into them because there will be more than just a few holes in their gas tank.

Yeah I'm just waiting for the day that this happens at Claybank.

Last time we were there some guy in an old beater came down the road and then back out again, never pulled into the parking lot.

I'm wondering now if he was scoping it out and decided there was too many people around and left.

It's coming.
