Hey Steve when measuring a monster musky , do we measure it the same way we measure a walleye , from nose to the V in its tal????When someone says a 50" muskie does he mean full lengh? Or to the "V"

Ryan, it's hard enough to get an accurate measurement on a fish in the best of times let alone a Muskie of that size!!....the tape should go from the nose to the tip of the V, not the middle of the V...also, take a quick girth measurement next time and this will give you an approximate weight

Is 24 inch girth a plausible guess?
I mean , It was fat for sure , do you think you could guess by the pics or?
