Artic Armor Suit

Question,

Might not apply if you use it in a boat, but walking on ice I don't see if Canadian approve matters much. And to be honest, if a CO or whoever came to tell me on the ice that it was not Canadian approved, I would tell him, if it saves my life going through the ice, then ***EDIT***.

Arctic Armor Suiit

Post by acuteangler »

Hi

I bought the red suit in September and used it on Quinte until a couple of weeks ago. I don't know about the floatation part but if it is as good as the video I saw I will be happy, The two piece suit is very handy as you can takr the coat off and leave the bib overalls on. The suit is very comfortable not stiff like my mustang jacket. The suit is very warm but will breath. Also I found the sizes very accurate. I take an off the rack XL and that is what I ordered and it fits fine. This is easily the finest cold weather gear I have ever had. I paid $308US. I bought it in the states and had it delivered to the resort where my wife and I were golfing. It was shipped about two weeks before we arrived but I just called the desk and let them know it was coming. If you would like to know where I bought it send me PM and I will give you the information.

Geos....how much room does a life vest take up in your boat????....who cares if the suit isn't Canadian Coastgaurd Approved...keep a cheapy life vest under your seat and you're all set to go ....PLUS....the chances of you being asked if the suit you are wearing is Canadian Approved is pretty slim

Looks like a great suit.

I am in the need for a new suit for my spring and fall fishing excursions. This one looks like it would be great.

I was thinking of getting a mustang 2 piece but the artic armor looks like a good alternative and its probably not as bulky as the mustang.

Like troutmuskiehunter said, I would just keep an extra life jacket in the boat.

I sure would like to see one and try it on. From what I have read they are sized a bit big.

Thanks for the info.

Arctic Armor Suit

Hi

I was able to pick up a suit this Sept., the red one, the suit is much more flexible than the mustang or Helly Hanson. the jacket is very compact and is warm as well as comfortable. The bib bottoms are great because the leg open almost to the knee allowing you to breathe as well as making it easy to put on or take off without removing your boots. This is my third set of Floater suits and it is by far the nicest suit I have ever had. I bought mine when I was golfing in the States in September and paid $308 Canadian at that time. The fit is not really very far off normal Canadian/American norms. I am 6'1" and weigh about 235lb and the XL is a very nice fit. If anyone is in the Hamilton area I would be happy to show the suit. Hope this helps.

Arctic Armour suit

Post by baitcaster »

I just got an Arctic Armour suit in - XL Jacket and L in the pants - red and black colour. Also carried these last year. Nice suits. If anyone is looking for one come on out and try it on. Definitely not as bulky as the floatation suits. Also carry the neoprene gloves to match.
