I agree...
with Rideaufish. Try and get out to Baitcasters or Paddletales. You'll find a better selection and get some personalized service. You'll probably be able to mount the reel on a rod similar to the one you own and see if it's a balanced combo.
Also, judging and buying a reel based just on the number of ball bearings can be a mistake...

stradic...
In my opinion i think you should go ahead and pay a few extra bucks and get the shimano stradic. 4BB 1RB Anti reverse is on the dot...smooooth drag...what more can you ask for?
I bought my first stradic about 3yrs ago....still good, and probably has another 3 or 4 under its belt...

NEW REEL
I agree with CCB, at least at one of those shops you will get a better service, and also you can begin a personel relationship with the owner. Nothing wrong about those other places If you are on a tight budget, but if something goes wrong you are on your own. You may pay a little more at the other places, but for that extra service that they give to their customers is worth it. Me personaly I haved never bought any type of tackle from any of them. I like to support my local tackle shop, and besides that they support their local anglers. And they will go that extra mile to sastify their clientel.
