shirleys bay

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

We were out at our shack at Shirley's yesterday and had no problem with the ice. We drove the truck all the way out. It was damn cold with the wind and were skunked again!

A couple of spots with no snow cover had melted a little and their was a little bit of surface water. Nothing of great concern.

You should be good for a couple more weeks unless it stays warm for a few days.

2 feet of ice is gunna take a long time to go away. It will take more than a couple days of warm weather to make that ice unsafe. Depending on how warm it gets and if slush and water build up I would think your only concern is the bottom of your shack freezing in once it gets cold again.

ya its not an issue of safety or going through, its more getting stuck and burried in the slush and snow
