So were is everyone fishing this weekend

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

I'll be off in the lake right beside the 35 Fish-hawkers on Olmstead but I will be doing most of my fishing in Calabogie for brookies.

Tight lines all

BT,

Have a fun time. Looks as though you should have some nice weather (at least here it's supposed to be beautiful for the next 2 days).

No fishing for me this weekend  , but I can't complain as we had a fun few days earlier in the week at Gananoque and are returning to Canada for a week on Wolfe Lake next Sunday. :D

Let's hear back on how you do!

Looks like I'll be carp & catfish fishing in Black Creek (Port Dover). Will probably wet a line for some bluegill too in Silver Lake. Nothing extravagant but it keeps me happy 'til bass opener!

Fishing this weekend

Post by Seaweed »

Well I got the Lawn cut

I got my Quebec Garage assembled for the boat at Petrie.

I guess it is time for me to go on a pike hunt. I will be working the backwaters at Petrie. I love this time of the year around here because of the high water you just never know what you are going to see. Not to mention the other wild life around here.

Tomorrow the Ottawa Valley South Bassmasters will be meeting to have their annual Pike derby and then a BBQ where we will pick the teams to fish the tournies this year. We will be fishing the Rideau and all I can say is that I hope the water has dropped a bit.... it was like riding a surf board out there on Friday. Current had to be running at six miles per hour. Hard to fish and control the boat in that mess. Oh well thats why the call it fishing and not catching.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Wolf, No luck in Calabogie. Spoke to a few locals and they all say that the trout fishing up there has been slow recently due to al the low pressure systems and all. I did see a lot of fish-hawk hats floating around the renfrew-cobden area though. Weather was great!

Bassstalker, seems more than a few of us have experienced some slow fishing this past week or so. (then again, some have been lucky!) The weather has been rather topsy-turvy. Turning some fish off, maybe. :?:

Bacon: You have my sincerest, albeit belated, HAPPY BIRTHDAY WISHES!! Hope it was a fun day and that this year brings you good luck and good times. :D
