My Dad sent me these pics from the weekend...he was down at Bath on Lake Ontario and came across hundreds of carp spawning in the shallows...neat pics...

It is actually quite amazing to watch especially when they are there in huge numbers... If they are spawning down there it won't be too long before they are up here.

It's nice to see they are doing their thing undisturbed. I wonder if, because they are so obvious in their spawning behavior, they are targeted or harassed in many instances.

I think the carp are just completing their spawn down here. I love seeing the big fella's wrestling in the shallow weeds. Last years cattails being thrashed about. Fun to watch. If you toss a small rapala crankbait into them and pull it through...they will smash it out of aggresion.

After a weekend with John I love reading his posts becuase I can hear the english accent now in his posts.

Wife thinks I am nutz ( she may be right ) I am laughing my head off.
