Calabogie Lake on The Real Fishing Show

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

I'd just like to add that Bob isn't going to do any near as well as I would do at Bogie. I own that lake. Its mine. I know all the walleye spots. I told Jim about spots. That's right... "I"... told... "Jim"... ENOUGH SAID. I own it. Now we'll see how Bob does... I'm gettin' ready to laugh...
Stavi lost his fingers. The Special Olympis are mine now. Jeffy never loses. Plus I'm an angry individual... I like to fight... anywhere.

Fair enough.

We'll all watch it, take note of Bob's catch.
Then you go out and do better....report with pics.

No insult here as quite possibly you do know it well enough. But let's see it.

I know Bob and his son fished the Renegade and my friends Dad and his partner did WAY better than Bob.

Bobs the man!! He's still my one of my favs and I got WFN. Jim told my buddy it only took one day to film the show, serious, my buddy fish's virgin lake all the time and always goes in to see Jim
Usually a fishing show will take a weekend to shoot , depending on weather and the bite, but I guess he found a patter early and had a great day for filming.
The Next Bite is the best show goin now though 8)

JoeLavoie "owns" Calabogie Lake

Post by Gill »

Think I'll chime in on this one. Sorry Joe, but that's my backyard too. I have a place on Calabogie Lake - fish it like there's no tomorrow. Look for the blue 17.5 ft. Sea Nymph - it's pretty much a fixture on the lake.
I found out later in the day that Bob had been on the lake filming - rumour has it he had a very slow start to the day, was getting discouraged they wouldn't have any decent footage, but then ramped it up later in the day under the guidance of Jim, who runs the Bait & Tackle shop in town. Another unsubtantiated rumour says it never turned around for them, and they had to fudge the video. (???) I guess we'll find out on March 14. Meanwhile, you and I have a date on the lake - to see if you can substantiate your own rumour. Cheers!

Funny though because Bob finished 3rd at the Classic so unless you friend and his dad have different last names I don't think it happened quite like that.

Unless you are talking about one of the 5 qualifying tournaments then yes....the Izumis finished farther down the pack. They finished 11th after those 5 tourneys and once again no father and son team were top 10.

Uhmmm......I was actually being serious. Zoomer states those numbers(100) in the Tales From The Road section of his summer 2008 issue.

And so was I... the number (135) came from a hunting partner of Jims.

Anyway.. regardless.. I'd like to see the show cause the eyes have been elusive to me in that lake.
