Electric bow mounting plate for 14'?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

I have a 14' with a homemade casting deck. When I bought the boat it only had the deck over the seats. I built a small deck using 3/4" plywood and covered it with industrial carpet to hold the trolling motor. Just a small triangle cut out with 2"x2" post to elevate to the edge of the boat. I then mounted the trolling motor on the small deck. There has been one problem on my boat anyway. The motor is quite heavy and I'm having difficulty lining up the boat onto the trailer when getting out of the water. The bow of the boat now sits lower in the water. Depends on how your boat is made, this might not be an issue.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Radar for your input as I think I will use aluminum sheet to use as structure?

Good fishing!
