How about an "Angler Supreme" Tournament!?!

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

How about an "Angler Supreme" Tournament!?!

Post by Jimmy_1 »

All the talk about outings and tourneys gave me a great idea!

What about a group of us start a league and get some backing?

Work like this:

One box contains a list of fish species in the surrounding area. No sacred honey hole lakes or anything. Just easily accessible ones.

Then after each outing the next one 2 weeks away is drawn. So every 2 weeks you are fishing a different species and in a different location.

We could ask Bobber to create an invite only forum to talk. This way it cuts back on lurkers etc.

Would anyone be interested in this? The whole idea is to cover a wide range of species.

Just curious???

Yep, for sure!

We would need to discuss it more in a private forum. Dates etc.

There seems to be alot of outings etc on one particular species. I think if there were prizes/bragging rights for best of species and best overall would be wicked.

Seeing as the whole point of this site is to talk fishing, learn fishing and meet people I think this would meet all that criteria. it also would allow a die-hard muskie guy to learn something from say a bass guy and vice versa....

Only pics can be posted in the forum though. Like I said no backwood honey holes. Just lakes that are easily accesible and well known.
But also interesting ones.

I would be in for sure. I can help out with organization if you need. I think this is a great idea, I am fairly new to Ottawa, and this would be a great way to meet fellow fisherpeople!! As long as I can fish from my yak!!

Well I wasn't going to say anything but the Easter Bass tournament is next w/e...

Yes of course you could fish from a yak, a canoe, shore etc. The momentum is growing so I am sure there will also be open seats on boats.
