31 mile lake / lake pemichangan

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

31 mile lake / lake pemichangan

Post by snowman31 »

Hello,

I'm new to the site and after reading alot of post's this year I have finally decided to join. So here is my first question and hopefully more to come, I was wondering if anyone new if the ice is out on the above lake's mentioned in the subject title in Quebec. I was hoping to go up on the 26th to do some lake trout fishing.

Cheers

NO ITS NOT

my father was at roddick lake this ast sunday..this is like 4 days ago. and we are about 15 min frome the 31 mile lake and he past there to to go see.

actualy there was 4 weeler on ice this past sunday still more then 12 off good ice all over.

but wit that temp it wont take long.

i sher hope it will be open next week..cause i will be on the 31 mile lake for lakers in 8 days...

last year there was some ice left..but it was ok to fish.

but we did saw in some years that it was not oepn for the opener.

but in those lakes sometime its better in the wek after the opener more then the opener itself.

so right now not open.

Welcome snowman31....

I don't know for certain, but I imagine it will be.
I plan on heading up that way that same weekend, and I know a few others heading that way too.....I'm sure others will chime in!

Good luck
Cheers

My buddy who owns Whitefish lodge on Lac Heney told me last night that he figures that the ice will drop before the weekend. Pemish should follow shortly.

Yes , it's going to be a long week waiting , last year the ice went out the day before opening on the Pem . The lake was full of floating junk so speed runs were not a good idea . The long range forecast looks crappy too , hoping it will change by Friday .Itching to get out with the new motor to boot , should be a great day :D
