Looking for the best lake for a laker week-end ?
Any tips catching them also ?

charleston and big-rideau are know'n spots... not sure beyond that... cause I've never fished em... but I had a cottage on charleston lake and people fished em there all the time...

likely downriggers/lead-core and spoons... but that's just a wag.

got a 19 lber out of lac du poisonn blanc once... shame... the lakes only 15 miles long... lots of miles for you to downrig/leadcore to find the fish

There are a couple of boats heading to Muskrat on Saturday to fish for lake trout.
