New York and Ontario do not have a reciprocal license agreement. If you are fishing in New York waters, you need a New York license or risk getting fined.

I don't know if it's still done, but a few years ago DEC/MNR use to do joint patrols on the river.

Ahhh feel very welcome Fishinbutch....Just some peoples opinions on things...American, Canadian, British...we all just want to fish but because some people give all people a bad name it transcends to the whole group...This is due to "idiot ism"....Kinda like patriotism but for people who do not comprehend that not everyone is the same...Heck maybe all them American's should grab their guns, go wrangle up some buddies and fish till they fill the freezer in the back of their rented pick up trucks

Jwhite do you really pay the Mohawk conc officers for a licence to fish.Dont fall for there bull S----T . they dont own the water. they tried this in the Lancaster area when they tried to charge the duck hunters the boys in lancaster told them where to go. no licence purchased . if you are alone in a boat they are realy brave(ha ha)But they didnt want to tangle with the boys from lancaster

Map - St. Lawrence River
I've never fished the St. Lawrence until Saturday Past (Cardinal). My fishing partner and I were a little confused on the boundaries and separation between Canada and the US. Is there a map which will show me the Canada/US line so that I don't venture into US water, Lord knows I don't want one of the US Coast Boats chasing with down a 50 Cal machine gun.

If it's nice enough to golf...... You should be fishing!
