HUGE Lake Ontario Laker

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

HUGE Lake Ontario Laker

Post by mattdbz29 »

Got this yesterday on a blue cleo :D BIG FISH... took 20 mins to get her in on 10lb test stren :D then a while later i thought i hooked up again... was a weird feeling kind of fish though. got it up an it was 30 feet of line with a softball sized ball of zebra mussels every five feet with one of my blue cleos on the end. Was happy to get it back. after dark the browns started to move in again , we picked up another 2 small ones (3-4 lbers) on bright green an bright orange rebel salmon series cranks. We fished in the pitch black (anyone in the area of prince edward county can attest to how dark it was when that lightning rolled in last night) It was pitch black clouds to the east and west and just a small spot of barely cloudy over us.. it stayed like that for quite some time, till finally it closed in on us. Wasnt feelin to good about waving 10 foot rods in a lightnig storm so we packed her in. All in all a great day on the water. :D
