Morris Island Conservation Area

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

I still think it has potential, there is some great shoreline, lots of islands, I just haven't explored all the trials. When I did try it, it was quite warm, and the mosquitos were killers, and the deer flies were a big problem.

Was there today with my daughter! had great weather.
Not too heavy on the bugs yet.
The water level is low around the casting bridge, so we went down the falls trail to an inlet and casted it with lures....no worms....we both cought a nice LM each and let them go.
Here's a pic of each of us.

There's 2 pics, but i dont know how to make em work as inline images.

By the way....we were looking for pannies...of any kind...hitting these bass was a lucky cast. Ironically...these were the only 2 fish we cought.

small live minnows with a float will slay the smallmouths ,but they are still out of season.
