negative waves WOW!!!!
Hey Wally Pro, it is no secret that mental attitude is one of the keys to being a very successful angler...you appear to have given us the answer(all 100%) before you hit the water whether you will be successful or not.
Negative...negative...negative...not good buddy...

Don't "buddy" me buddy..... I would take gulp hands down......... And yes it's an honest answer. I took gulp over live bait on my nrthern ontario flyin trip two weeks ago...and not to brag but yes I did outfish people using live bait..... The fishing was extrememely tough, but the gulp still outfished live bait........WallyPro wrote:\fatluke wrote:OK then, when you try them and they don't work, send the bucket of useless hyped up plastic minnows my way.
Don't sass me buddy.
If you had the choice of taking 20 Gulp shiners or 20 live shiners out for a 1 day trip... what would you take buddy? Be honest now buddy...
anyway......you seem to have the attitude of $h*t disturber.........so peace out.. "buddy" I love my gulp.........anyone I fish with knows that.......and are happier now that I don't leave work dirt in their boats.
A big one would be saving money...
2 or 3 GULP shiners can last longer than 2 dozen minnows in most cases...
Plus, the fish just engulf them..

Live bait dies......pulls off the hook easy....... can usually only catch one, maybe two fish on a live minnow.WallyPro wrote:Why? Why would you want Gulp vs the live ones for use right away?
They're the best live bait alternative but why take them if you can have the live bait?
Gulp (or any plastic) can me modified in many ways to stay on the hook.. When it gets torn up, bite a 1/4 inch off and thread it back, does not die, and you can catch a lot more than just 1 or 2 fish on the same one.
A liar?? Now you're just being comical. I haven't fished with live minnows for .... well I can't remember the last time I used a live minnow, except I do use dead minnows for tipping spoons when icefishing for walleye but that is about it. A persons preference of lure/bait choice goes beyond comparing what might catch more fish ... part of the enjoyment of fishing is not having to wait for a bait store to open, or worry about keeping bait alive. The risk of tranporting invasive species is also an issue which I take very seriously. If live bait gives you confidence I won't hold that against you. If you don't trust the opinions of those on this board, that is also your choice.

Well, based in that comment... you seem to have the attitude of a plain old $h*t head.fatluke wrote:Don't "buddy" me buddy..... I would take gulp hands down......... And yes it's an honest answer. Well Sally, of course you would take Gulp on a northern getaway... buddy, I mean Sally, its still hard to believe that you would rather take the artificials of the live... but that is why I asked.

gulp
There is also a ton of things you can do with Gulp that you can't do with fragile live baits...fish heavy weed efficiently, rip jig, set hook and still have bait on the hook so if you miss them they may come right back, you won't cast off Gulp...nothing worse than watching a fresh minnow sail off the hook, and... and you should never run out of Gulp just when the bite is ON!!!.
Even I was a bit skeptical in the beginning, but I have been pleasantly surprised by the positive results I have encountered fishing Gulp...and NO they do not pay me.
Just a few here...I am busy today or the list would go on for ever...although I must say...some of the biggest and best days I have ever had are with a jig and minnow...but that was BG==BEFORE GULP.
Take Care

Heres another good reason why..they catch fish.
Between the rain and hail Saturday morning I was able to get out on the water for a few hours and boat some walleye...All on GULP! Caught 9 walleye and and some OOS smallies all on just 2 shiners. Before leaving I took the bait of my jig head and was able to salvage it for this weekend
