Bonnechere provincial park

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

I was up there in July last year. Really nice park, a real getaway. Nice bass around the river and especially at the mouth that connects to the lake. The only fish I caught in the lake was a few small pike. But there is supposed trout and pickeral in the lake. Have a great time and good luck.

Try around the mouth of the river, found some nice sized bass there. I only caught a few small pike in the lake itself, but there is supposed to be pickeral and trout in there. The park is a real nice getaway though, good luck

i was there last year...keep in mind..everyone really only fishes at the dock...bad idea...be adventurous. hint...during the middle of the day...off to the left of the beach, there is a large patch of weeds in shallow water...WATCH out..some nice sized bass there...but i had my best luck along the river.. whether its walleye, perch, bass, or sunfish..their everywhere when you go looking around.

i was on the shore,,and i was catching more and larger bass than people on a boat.

at the lower out feed river..perch and walleye were counght by worms blown with air hung right above the bottom by bobbers.

small tubs, grubs,,anything suspended or dragged across the bottom worked the best for me.

all of this is done from shore at the bonnechere park...if you have a gps...look at surrounding lakes river, etc,,and search for them..you never know what you may find
its not the fisherman that catches the fish,, its the gear,,,

or is it the other way around? oh well...
