Summer in full swing

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Bravo, Excellent, Way to Go! I love the multi-species approach. Fish for something...Catch everything. Go get some more Andrew!

The bass were really on fire opening morning on the Ottawa...Katch Moore came up for a few days of fishing and I lost count of how many bass were caught in the first hour of getting out(Not to mention some motor troubles that had me a bit scared) . The fish remained in a feeding frenzy for the entire weekend making them easy to target with a few simple patterns. Bigger fish were holding to deeper water(Bottom transitions) and to heavy cover in the form of a tree or iscolated pad patches(Where you could find them). Drop-Shotting and the Flipping Jig took a lot of fish..Wacky rigged senkos and tube jigs worked well too. It was cool fishing submerged weedbeds that would normally be showing around this time of year. They held a lot more bass and less pike than many other shallow locations tried.

Thanks for the comments following this report fellas :D Much appreciated.

I better add no Photoshop was used to edit of these photo's

Nice!!! You two obviously have the bass patterns nailed. Hope you threw them back in for older fellers like me to have a crack at later!

Wolfe, I have had a sturgeon jump beside the boat one year. It came flying out of the water about 5 feet from us...That one wasn't so cute
