Good ol' Grand Lake.
I've fished Grand lake 8 times in the past two years. i have a friend who lives right on McGregor Lake, at the creek on the north end of Mcgregor.
Grand lake is a good; bass, pike and laker lake.
we usually ice fish that lake. great for pike, right near the island on the north west side of the lake.
i'll try to dig up some pictures of couple lakers and the huge bass that came out of this lake.

Lac Grand is good but Lac "Vert" or Lac du la Montagne as if seems to be officially is GREAT!!
I've caught a few lakers on Grand but nowhere near as many and as fast as on lac du la montagne/"vert".
I think many people don't want to go through the channel but bigger boats can get through easily.
All it takes for the lakers is spoons and big sinkers to get down deep!

Nice bass for sure!!!
Kinda weird how they hold off the deep cliffs... !! Its like 50-70 feet deep there in certain spots... kinda un-bass like.
I browsed that forum, saw that pic... and was like... I know that spot!!
You guys ever try for lakers? That lake is the best laker spot I've fished by far... Never get skunked. Just troll and produce!!
Cheers

Apparently, the official name is "LAC DU LA MONTAGNE"....
So I hope this helps everybody as this is what Google Maps has it labeled as. Remember it connects to Lac Grand.
Just get to VAL-DES-MONTS... drive through and look for Chemin du Barrage on the right! And then... well you know... time to catch lakers!
Its like a 15 minute drive from Rideau and King Edward! The turn off anyway!

Launch Location?
How far from the end of Chemin du Barrage is the launch? How close is it to Lac de la Montagne? Thanks in advance.

Its about half-way...Claudio wrote:How far from the end of Chemin du Barrage is the launch? How close is it to Lac de la Montagne? Thanks in advance.
The road on Lac du la Montagne is designated 'private'... whatever... you can drive up there to have look if you want... nobody is there 99% of the time. Its basically the end of Chemin du Barrage I think...
I'm not entirely sure though.. it may be an off-shoot to the left... just check Google Maps to make sure.
For Lakers... 3-way swivels with heavy weights seem to work well with spoons...
Misadventures attempting to fish Lac Vert!
After reading this post last week myself and a couple of friends decided that we would hook up the boat and trailer and head up to Lac Vert for the first time to have a try at our luck.
Well lets just say that it was not a very productive day as were unable to find the launch anywhere!
We drove to the end of the road (Chemin de barrage) watching closely for the boat launch (on the left hand side) and then turned around at the dead end and drove back out (still without finding a place to launch).
Oh and for any others who are planning on going in there (not that a boat launch is easy to find) keep an eye out for the crazy old man in a white pickup truck. He almost ran us off the road beeping his horn and flashing his lights. I thought there was some type of medical emergency, but when we stopped to see what the problem was he went off the handle saying that this was a private road and that we could be arrested. I wasn't too stressed out about it (just a crousty old man with nothing better to do) and told him that I was told that there was a place where I could launch a boat somewhere on that road.
So anyways, I guess what I'm wondering is if anyone has anymore detailed info on exactly where the boat launch is located on this road?
I noticed that the majority of roads that go down to the lake are numbered. Perhaps someone could provide me with the number of the road that they went down to launch their boat? Failing that, approximatley how far down the road is the launch after you cross the bridge?
Any and all feedback would be greatly appreciated as I would really like to try hitting up this lake!
Thanks in advance!

Or is that your game to go back and then re-write what you posted as the 'thread' develops to make yourself look better? Is that you?
In this case... it is. Pathetic.
Actually that is you.. what?... You thought nobody noticed? How is it made in china?
