That is one heck of a big bass!!! Congrats to the fisherman(gotta like a big smile like that {it seems to say Thank You FishGod})
I just can't believe WHO is bitching at the weight and the fact that it's on a chain. If the guy says that the scale read 7.25 then I believe him. The fisherman was also in his legal rights to keep that bass.(there is nothing that either one of us could've said anything about it.)

When hell freezes over, I'll be there icefishing!!!

Thanks for the offer, I am in the area right now, but am afraid that as much as I would like to chase some bass that I will not have the time to get out. Not sure when I will get back, but lets keep on the topic of the nice fishie on the first page.Doug wrote:back to beeman........

for the life of me i cannot understand the purpose of this post other than to cast doubt.....and after last season's fiasco with using formulas to estimate weightmuskymatt wrote:It's a very nice bass for sure and I'm not trying to cast doubt on the guys obvious nice fish but if you calculate with the formula, a 22.5" bass that weighs that much would have to have a girth of 17.75"....
Just an observation!!

AWE-SOME fish.....
I don't care how big it was (or what everyone else thinks it migh be) the smile on his face says it ALL ! That this was a fish of a life-time...

In general, naming lakes, rivers, etc that are not common knowledge (i.e. Ottawa, Rideau, Mississippi L, etc) is typically frowned upon due to lurkers, etc. If you're interested in the location, simply send a PM to the author to see if they'll share the name of the body of water with you.
Will do thanks.
You're right, it would seem that way to some..I guess there is no room for opinions here and we should just accept every word posted as the truth.Mick wrote:for the life of me i cannot understand the purpose of this post other than to cast doubt.....and after last season's fiasco with using formulas to estimate weightmuskymatt wrote:It's a very nice bass for sure and I'm not trying to cast doubt on the guys obvious nice fish but if you calculate with the formula, a 22.5" bass that weighs that much would have to have a girth of 17.75"....
