Saturday morning, Danomano and I headed to the southern portion of Mississippi Lake. Having never fished there before we had no idea where to go and were told to fish where the locals fish.
We took a 25 minute walk out, found a spot and setup.
After 4 hours of no action, we decided to setup the shelter to get out of the wind. Shortly after, I felt my first strike. It kinda threw me off since we hadn't had any action until then so I wasn't able to set the hook right away. It stuck around though and on the second strike, I hooked into our first fish. A nice walleye...

A few minutes later Dano hooked into a decent sized pike. I'm guessing it was about 26-28" inches long. Before I could snap more photos it was unhooked and back in the hole. Only managed this pic before it was pulled out of the hole...

About 30 minutes later another walleye came by and ate my lure. This time I was ready and it was a nice one at just over 18" inches...

We packed up not long after and that was it for the day. We had fun and we'll be back for more no doubt.
Happy fishing!
