Big Brookies pulled through the Ice

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Big Brookies pulled through the Ice

Post by The Nipigon »

Good evening fellow Hawkers, just another short post from the North. As we are getting close to 30 inches of ice it was time to bring out the big guns (Power auger) and head out to one of my favorite lakes. With a short sled ride I was on the ice and punching my holes and set up the lines. It wasn't long and the bite was on. Manage to ice four and lose two at the hole...But who's complaining... :D

Here are a few pics of the day.

Thanks RJ. For mid day I'm looking for 10 - 14 ft of water with heavy structure. As the day begins to come to an end, I'm moving into the shoreline on the backside of a point in 18 - 24 inches of water thats where the big guys come in and patrol for thier evening supper...
