Nips... the fish was hooked to bad and would not go back on its own.... Just what would you have suggested he do with it.. put it back under the ice so it could float away and rot????? CMON!!!!!!!
Maybe you shouldn't not just assume things and possibly as a question.

Nice fish either way. However, as a rule of general principle and as a business owner focussed on fishing you should learn to 'roll with the punches'. Those 'jealous' people may just be the ones to pay your bills.

Here Here .....

Thats what I like to hear The truth and nothing but the Truth ,

Well said right there , The only mistake you made was explaining yourself/justifying why you keep the Walleye ....

what i would like to know is why does one have to explain why he kept a 12 pounder he is within the rules of fishing so if he want to keep a 12 pounder thats his perogative you jelous people are making this site more and more undesirable. I will never post one fish on here because i'm sure i will be shot down for something so you'll never see a fish i catch thats for sure...............lake x ,,,on road z ........let white out the background so no one can see anything or maybe they will be able to figure out where were fishing.....grow up and lets get this site back to what it was ment for like helping fellow fish hawkers with tips ,accesses, type of lures or jigs where to fish ect..............

Maybe you shouldn't not just assume things and possibly as a question.
maybe you should of stated that the fish was hooked deep and couldn't be revived.

Why would he have to state anything?

It's got nothing to do with jealousy, I've caught bigger on the larry, it has to do with genetics, and putting the big females back for the future of the fishery. I totally agree with keeping a big fish that was hooked deep and could not be revived, no sense in throwing back a dead fish. I agree with some of your statements, i have been grilled on this site for posting musky pictures with certain structures in the background, some people on here take crap too seriously, after all it's supposed to be fun right.

I too don't understand why people get grilled to the 9th degree around here for choosing to keep an ultimately 'dead' fish. I also too am ruluctant to post photos...Been on here for 2 hardwater seasons now...and am beginning to learn a few things; be careful what you post, comments or photos. Also seems like the people who don't Ice fish, whether they don't have time or what have you, are the ones always on here looking to take their own frustrations out on people who are out fishing and catching beauties.....

I've personally labelled them as Hawk 'Talkers' and Hawk 'Walkers'....Talkers= Talk more than fish, shoot down others choices, etc. Walkers= Fish and report back their 'findings'.

Also, I think its one thing to give someone your 'Honey Hole', but is there really a need for Lake x's...?? Like come on. Personally, if I can help someone out with a location that I'm familiar with, I will. I won't give them all the details, but I will start them off on the right foot. Even sometimes let them know what has been working for me and what colors have worked in the past....one color may work one day but not the next.

No one owns the lake, so why do people make it like they do!?
