OTTAWA — A search for a missing Napanee man came to a grim conclusion Thursday afternoon. Members of a police dive team pulled the body of Cecil Stacey from the waters of Sherman's Point, near Hay Bay, Ont. after 4 p.m.

Ontario Provincial Police had been looking for the 48-year-old man for much of the day. He had last been seen on a snowmobile near where his body was found.

Police said a helicopter and dive team had assisted in the search.

Stacey was pronounced dead at the scene.

Hay Bay is 50 kilometres west of Kingston.
