Hi Bradford,
Wow, poster boy for an ice fishing magazine...beauties!
"Hot stick this year" as per Saskie's comment (yikes
)...though I'd have to say, that's accurate judging by the quality of fish you're icing as well as a baby on the way.
Congratulations all across the board, Bradford.
And no more mentioned of "damn" babies. That's awful!!!!!!

Flyer spoon is a Lindy Product.....

I will say the average size of fish hitting these was above those hitting the forage spoon.... but it was also evident that once in a while the rattle would spook some fish.
Both are highly effective for the slabs.....
Wolfe... you are right, that is awful. Plus I need to remember there's a chance 20 years down the road she (yes it's a girl) might read my old posts on Fish-Hawk

Brad/ Tip Up,
Do they make Flyer Spoons and Buckshot rattles as small as Forage Minnows? I've only found bodies that are larger (weight/size) and trebles on the larger size.
Agreed Tippie, Bucksots belong in the icebox bag of tricks as well.
Please post more hardwater stories...my two week season at this lattitude has come to an abrupt halt with rain and warm temps
tight lines,
ratsotail

Well done, bud! NICE fish!!!
My oldest son was about a month old, no more than two months old, when I took him fishing the first time. I had a big beamy 16 foot aluminum at the time, and put him in his crib in the bow between the seats.
He does not recall the trip, but I sure do, ESPECIALLY the unhappy reaction from my wife, whom I had failed to consult beforehand. Seems that I should have had my head read for such a crazy thing, etc etc.
When he was a bit older and our middle son was about 2 years old, we went to visit a buddy of mine who lived on an island, which was reached by boat. Between Christmas and New Year's. With ice floes. And it was a SMALL boat. I heard about that one for a while afterwards also.....
But SHE WHO MUST BE OBEYED thought nothing of taking the two younger boys out on Devil's Rock up in the Temiskaming area, right to the edge of the three hundred foot cliff!!!! No safety fence, no harness, nothing.
(She is a mountain climber, I am a fisherman, we both have our comfort zones and they are not always congruent.............)
