Sonar, Lowrance X 125 or X67C

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Sonar, Lowrance X 125 or X67C

Post by Billy Bones »

I have a brand new X 125 Lowrance and am thinking of putting a Lowrance X 67C on the boat. Anyone have experience with the X 67C??
Does it have a flasher mode?

I don't have one but did see a guy on the ice with one. Not to bad for a smaller screen and yes it does have flasher mode as well.

Hi Billy,
I have a x67 ice machine that I use in the winter and transfer it to the bow of my boat in the summer. I have it connected to a Minn Kota PowerDrive with the built in US2 transducer. Very easy to use , just have to play with the settings to achieve the best results. I also have a X510 on the transom.
Hope this helps, suites my needs well.

Billy....why do you want the X67c for the boat??? :? I bought a HDS-5 last summer and it's the cat's butt....it also has a flasher mode and you can use the split screen to see flasher and regular view...few more $$$$ but it's well worth it IMO considering you also get GPS with it...

PM me if you want more info or wait for some open water and I'll show you the features fishing for bows on your new favorite lake  ...
8) :D
Here's a couple of screen shots from your favorite Laker lake 8)

Hey Steve

Already have the X 125, still in the box. My X 96 went with my boat when I sold it (loved that one and I know it). Saw the X 125
on sale at Cabelas for 200.00 bucks and 60.00 for the speed unit and sent it to my son in Texas to save on shippiing and import
fees. Will be down there next week. Had the opportunity to see an X 67 on the ice this year and the screen is so bright. It looked
like a great double duty sonar. Can get the ice package for about 150.00 which includes the battery and charger, soft bag, and
iceducer. The X 125 is probably a better machine but colour is nice to.

I don't have any experience with any of these units but you can download the product emulators from the Lowrance website.
This gives you an opportunity to play with most of the unit's functions and see how it works.
Here are a few links to download the emulators...

X67C Emulator (1.1 MB) Download

X125 Emulator (5.3 MB) Download

I didn't see one for the HDS-5 posted by TroutnMuskieHunter, but I know you can buy two X67C's for the price of one HDS-5.

That's true....I believe in the old saying " you get what you pay for" There's no comparison between the X67 and the HDS-5 8)
