Big tubes for trout

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

I've used Bass Magnet 3 3/4in. white tubes for lake trout in a lake setting.

I suppose it depends on the river and the type of trout.

A bit more information may help with a better answer for you.

micro tubes under a float can work well for steelhead in slower flow river sections (like the boardwalk at the ganny or the marsh at wilmot   ) and 3-4" tubes are deadly for lake trout through the ice.

I used 6" white and blue tubes in deep lakes fishing off bottom in 80-100FOW for Lakers ... but not in rivers.... In a river I would use a white with red swiming crank bait.
