30 Island, 13 Island and Wolf Lake

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

30 Island, 13 Island and Wolf Lake

Post by JP »

My girldfriend lives in Verona and looking to ice fish on these lakes.
30 and 13 Island are off Bunker Hill Rd Off Westport Rd. I know that all lakes have a good walleye, pike and crappie population.
Any ideas how the ice fishing is?
Cheers

JP ~ You do realize that Bass fishing season is now closed

I have fished 13 Island a few times in the past. A friend of mine always wanted to go fish there? He had many fish tails of limiting out on eating size walleye

After many many fishless days on that lake. I gave up on it. I do remember catching 1 fish. I have to say it was the best tasting and most expensive fish I'v eat. We use to enter the lake via a private cottage road and property. Once on our drive in the lake we came apon 2 bald eagles resting in the tall pines. I think that made up for all the fishless outings. Good luck to you.

30 island and wolfe would be your best bet, 13 can be good for crappie, pike perch but the eyes are few and far between unles you have means to move distance across the lake. If you plan on fishing 30 your probably going to need to know someone on the lake because its all private land around the lake and the locals are very very protective of it...Wolfe I find can be a good lake if you know where to fish it, pike are few and far between however but the eye population seems to be good even with the winter presure it recieves. shoot me a pm if you need more info

The new regulations show that Potspoon Lake (44°36'N, 76°35'W) is open January 1st for Lakers. This lake is located right next door to Thirty Island Lake and White Lake.

potspoon is extremely hard to get on because its all private land around it, your probably going to have to know someone to get to that lake

Potspoon lake

Post by mlamothe »

Hi All,

I was thinking of going to potspoon lake tomorrow. This is a stocked lake so there has to be a public boat ramp. Does anyone know where it is?

Thank you.
