Big Fish Weekend!

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Whenever I'm in or passing through ON, I always stop at RJ's place for a visit. It's crazy, but whenever we fish together we seem to find some big fish. It's getting a bit silly now.

This weekend, I've never seen that many giant crappie....and then that gar. wow. RJ left out the Largie because it was out of season, but I had a 5.8lb largie take my micro jig/float set up and give me a great fight on the ultra light. I laughed like a bugger. Sorry I cant post a pic...you know the rules. lol

I love fishing rob. Always a great time.

Fabulous Crappie.
What's more amazing, is that based on the dark coloration, these appear to be Male fish. Usually the biguns are female...

And the Gar - just crazy!!

St. Catherines for our Annual Salmon tournament....the fishing hasn't been great yet there but could turn on anyday....let's hope....

BA,

Taking people out for gar is nearly impossible to plan....I've been disappointed more times than I can count as conditions stink......so it makes it tough.....95% of the time its a last minute decision to go as conditions are good....so it's just tough to plan anything......I'm lucky enough to work for a great boss (he's reading this) who understands my fishing "problem"....
