Who is fishing the Ottawa?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Who is fishing the Ottawa?

Post by Seabass81 »

With the walleye pike opener just around the corner curious who plans on hitting the Ottawa river this weekend? I plan on going out sunday for this year first excursion. Hopefully I will be launching out of Petrie and searching for mr WALLEYE!

Not a chance I would miss opener on the Ottawa, it's almost a tradition now :) Anthony and I will be out around Allumette island Sat and Sun in search of gators and walleye.

Good luck to all this weekend :!:

I'll probably hit it on Sun. but all my spring pike spots probably have 6" of water in them.
When hell freezes over, I'll be there icefishing!!!

Gotta work Friday and Saturday but will be Piking on the Bay Sunday. I might sneak out of work early tomorrow if the weather is okay just to get out on opening day for a bit.
The water is a lot warmer than usual this year for the pike opener so the biggun's might have gone deep already.

I can vouch for that .... I was in the water up to my knees today at Braeside.
Not too cold at all...
