Funny Story

Post by nips »

So I had the day off and made my way to the rideau for some musky fishing, I don't mind fishing by myself but when musky fishing I like to have another guy there to net the fish but today I was solo. So I get to one of my spots and start throwing a big jerkbait when bammmmm. Its a good fish, staying down, I had to back the drag off a bit, pulling line. I fought this fish for 5 minutes and didn't even get a look at it. 8 ft st.croix legend tournament X-H, 80lb pp, and i still couldn't move this fish. I'm thinking man, I have caught the biggest musky on the planet and theres no one to net this fish for me, so I can finally start to gain on this fish, so I grab the Big Kahuna and get ready to net the fish, its coming up, coming up, coming up and then I get a look at it. A MONSTER CARP  for f_*&^ sakes hooked in the top of the back. I couldn't believe it. It was 34 inches long and probably just as big around. . Image
