water levels on the rideau

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

water levels on the rideau

Post by Half-hitch »

Hoping to hit the rideau at Kars soon. With the low water levels this year, I was wondering how the ramp at the Kars rec center is? Any troubles with the levels in the creek as well?

Thanks for any info.

the water is at normal levels, and from the rain we got here tonight i would bet that the water is a little higher then normal. I saw a big bowrider launching there the other day so you should be fine unless your launching the titanic. Peace

I launched in the creek a few weeks ago and I was fine with my 50HP (no tilt). There are a couple of deadheads between the launch and the bridge though! I was going to put a rope on them but it was getting dark and had a boat full of kids...

Launched in the creek last night; the two logs are gone (at least not visible :? ). There were about five trailers parked in the lot, some decent size trailers also...
