Lac La Pêche Gatineau Park

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

it's like grade 3 all over again. awesome. "hey, let's go beat up the fat kid again." wtf.
Isn't that the way most informative threads go?

We start off with a decent question, it goes back and forth a little bit, we completely deviate and turn to insults  :D , get back to the topic, and those who poked fun at themselves get flamed.

If you can't poke fun at yourself, friends or fellow F-H'ers, what's the point?

You may not have noticed, but RJ took a jab at me. I think I'm getting a reputation for not wanting to pay for launch fees or parking. It's all in good fun! 8)

Bring on the fat kid, and we'll take a kick at him too!

Yeppers!
I don't agree with the privatization of launches, in both Ontario and Quebec. I can understand paying at a marina, or somewhere that is leased (like Ozile's @ Petrie), but I certainly don't agree with the trend of QC municipalities imposing launch/parking fees on launches put there, AND PAID FOR, by Federal tax dollars. ... But that's another thread altogether.

Bass Addict: I have gotten away with not paying it a few times, but more often than not, I pay the fee. My point is, however, that as Canadian Tax Payers, we have already paid for this launch, and the site that accomodates parking. It starts off at $5, then it gets like Tremblant where it's a lot more. And only because the municipality has to come around and change the garbage bags, not because they have someone there to help you launch faster.

If you're there almost every weekend, we'll have to fish together, and compare techniques. I've had quite a bit of success on that lake, for most species except trout.
