Kars RA Centre Boat Launch - Water Level??

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Kars RA Centre Boat Launch - Water Level??

Post by Claudio »

I may be fishing the Rideau in the next couple of days for the first time in about three years, has anyone used the launch at the Kars RA Centre in the last number of days?

I'm wondering how high (or low) the water level in the creek heading into the Rideau is this year. Safe enough, I hope, to get my boat actually into the Rideau.

Thanks.

Water level is fine. I was there on Sunday evening - you shouldn't have a problem. Boats of all sizes where coming and going. Have fun.

You should be fine. I have been launching there since April and I was there last Sunday. I would say that the water has risen about a foot past normal level. The swampy coves are not as skinny
