Westboro Beach

Anybody fish out of Westboro Beach? I am new on the hawk and I wish I was registered a month ago when I had a 4 species day by way of kayak fishing so that I could report instead of asking questions. It was almost a five species day if that hook would have set on the gar. The real question is are there any large mouth in between the Champlain Bridge and the Deschene Rapids. By the way all of the smallmouth, walleye, pike and channel cats were caught on a small black jig and grub. The smallmouth and walleye were in 5 feet of water and the pike and cats were in 20 feet with flat bottom and no strucure.

Ive fished under and around champlain bridge including bate island but only caught SMB. I have thought about fishing at westboro beach area last year but didnt get to it. This year though is way too shallow. lots of "islands" that wern't there last year. you would have to wade out a bit if you were to try there this year, and that red flag is usually waving. (closed beach due to e.coli)

Where was your 4 species caught if you dont mind my asking? I still havent hooked up a walleye this year.

I set out from westboro beach in my kayak and headed right across to the Quebec side. I was about 200 feet from shore fishing an exposed man made structure coming out of the water that I haven't seen before. The walley and bass were just off of there in 5 feet of water. I caught the pike in 20 feet of water almost in the middle of the river. There was just flat bottom and no strucure. I was fishing with a jig and grub with a little bit of worm for scent as I was going for catfish. That's where I got the catfish and pike.
