Contance lake

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

I think it's mostly a bass & pike lake... I don't remember hearing anything about muskie there. I'm going to be taking my nephew out fishing for a day in my canoe... was thinking of Constance given its size. Thoughts?

The reality is there are great populations of Muskellunge on the Ottawa river from Chenaux all the way to Montreal... pick a section... fish it hard and it will produce fish.

To direct fishing pressure to one section of the ottawa over and over is not really a good thing to do

If you also want to try for some Monster Bass, I would suggest hooking up with BA and see if he can take you into Lac Perdrix in Quebec = a.k.a. Lake X,!!! :D 8)

Musky Monkey:

I think you are talking about Constant Lake close to Dacre.
It is a good bass and pike lake. Don't know about Musky.

constance lake near dunrobin,is a good size, but very shallow,we caught big pike in the 60's and 70's and large bass, but it is very shallow and long overfished, still lotsa snot rockets and pannies. a great lake within the city limits to take kids. it used to be full of gar too.but never musky.
