Oh and this was waiting to greet us upon out arrival at our camping spot

Just perfect, a bear who obviously has a taste for flesh!! We heard him at night a few times, my poor cousin didnt know what to think. I just went back to bed.
Well when i got back it was time to bring my big brother for a little trip to my bass/pike lake. Now my brother comes fishing with me quite a bit, but he more enjoys eating and relaxing in the boat. He'll fish, but not serious about it. Over the years my brother has netted quite a few muskie for me, while never catching one himself. He's netted countless big largemouth and big pike for me as well, all the while never getting his own. His main problem is he refuses to use baitcasters, he neverhas the power/backbone to fish big lures and play big fish. Well this trip was going to be different, i was lending him my compre/calcutta combo, basically a winch and telephone pole by his standards. Well the day started out brutal, the water was like glass...a terrible sign on this lake. After a few hours of plucking the odd fish from shore lines a south wind picked up and started to really blow. Perfect, off we go to the north shore. Well the damn things were stacked on the drop off, i could see them on my sonar clear as day. Well i dropped a sweet beaver down and watched the red blobs swim up to my bait but no bite, heck i could even lift the fish 4 feet from bottom with their nose glued to my beaver, but no bites. So senko time i figer. Grab a wieghted northland hook, slide on a green.white gary yamamoto and BANG. Gary saves the day.

After plucking away at largies for a while we decide to look for my openwater pike. Well almost 2 hours of trolling i had one hit, but the big difference today was i saw no baitballs. back to the north shore we go and work the bottom of the drop off, me with a bulldawg and spinnerbait. my bro with a wildeye. Well we get into em, mostly around this size.

Not too shabby, but not what we are after. Well my brother decides it's nap time, he was done with fishing for the day...not I...I keep fishing. Finnally when the time is running out i tell my brother, we'll we're not leaving till you catch one more fish, and make it count, show me what you got! Well within a few minuts i see that compre bend right over, damn bro's got a beast!! Well the picture is worth a thousand words, this is the biggest fish of his life!

Way to go Bro! Skinny bugger....the fish i mean...but good length!
Well sure hope this works! Thanks Craig for the step by step to add pictures
