Don't have the GPS Coordinates, but there is another large dead head with about 4-6" visible on the Shirley's bay side as well. It is situated just a bit north and about 500-700 yards out from the mouth of the entrance to the back of the causeway. I didn't have anything to mark it with..... But serious navigation hazard, heads up.

Me too. I have done a lot of snorkelling this year on the Ottawa river; the visibility has been the best ever this season. Well at least until the 100mm of rain of Sunday which muddied up everything. Hopefully it clears again before the water gets too cold.
It's neat how friendly and smart the bass are when snorkelling. I've hand fed them and touched them. They are smart; I played a game where I show them a bait and then hide it under something, distract them somewhere else but they will remember where I hid the bait and go back looking for it.
One time I took a bunch of plastic baits and laid them out along a log to see what colour they would go to first. They consistently went to the same colour combo every time.
Would be fun to try the same thing with some muskie

Craig, pumpkin with chartreuse tip. They picked that consistently over black, blue fleck, white, pink or watermelon as well as plain pumpkin. These were stick baits.
Keep in mind that there are many factors that would influence colour selection like water color, sky conditions and, of course, the mood of the fish. This was very clear water on a sunny day, mid afternoon.
