Mid September Walleye hot spot?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Let's just say he is fishing from shore. I am actually creeping in on his question looking for good advice from locals. If anyone has any tips, secret spots, helpful hints from Helouise etc. it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi guys ... personally I don't have walleye hot spot near Ottawa and certainly not from shore ... and it's unlikely many people will share theirs ... there are some members that might share some info but if you look at the fishing reports you will rarely see the body of water mentioned and if it is not usually exact locations or lures, etc. Unfortunately it's peoples way of protecting their own "hot spot" ... I certainly can't blame them ... if I had a hot spot I'd protect it as well.

My advice .. .there are lots of Walleye in the area ... look at old post here and you might get some names and info ... in the past I've looked at the MNR guide to see where they say there's walleye and take a chance ... also I've called a lodge or campground on that lake and asked if they are getting walleye ... if so you can rent a boat there and get a map of the lake .. they will usually put you on fish ... A couple that come to mind are Black Donald Campground up near Calabogie ... lots of water there and walleye ... I think also Dalhousie lake has Sylvania lodge and I think they have walleye. In any case a quick Google of lodges in the area and walleye should net you something.

Good Luck ...
