lowrance x67

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

lowrance x67

Post by tbone1088 »

Hey guys,
I'm buying the lowrance x67 ice machine tomorrow, and was planning on using it right out of the box. Can someone tell me if it needs to charge first before I use it? Also, which mode should I use since im a beginner with this unit: the flasher mode, or the regular fishfinder mode?

Hey thone1088

I too just picked one up and will be using it for the first time on Monday. I used one last year on Quinte and it worked great, hence
my recent purchase. Experiment with it until you find the best way to use it for you. Don't know if you can use it right out of the box,
has to be put together and the instructions says not to use the transducer unless fully charged, although the battery had a good charge
in it when I got it..

Good Luck

Is there a box or unit I can by to put the lowrance in? I don't like the way it sits on the ice so close to the hole ;) :) :)

Buy a wire extension for it to make the wire longer

Better yet, dont use the arm extension. Its not needed it was just incorporated because they couldnt use vexilars patented foam float system. You dont need the arm at all, just drop transducer cable down hole and your good!

Thats what I used to do with mine!

spence, how low should you put the transducer in the water? Just so its barely in and straight down, or do you go until the transducer is past the ice
